How you work

The role

Within is an emerging international tea brand rooted in Chinese tea culture and built around product, gatherings, and community. We source tea and teaware, share what we learn, and create spaces where people can slow down together.

We are looking for one person to help define and produce how that world appears. This is not a narrow production-design role and it is not a social-media management role. You will work across identity, content, photography, video, digital design, and selected print pieces.

The right person has taste, but also structure. You care about restraint and detail, can explain your decisions, and are willing to make the everyday assets that keep a young brand coherent. You will have meaningful influence on the visual language of Within as it develops.

What you will own

  • Build and maintain a coherent visual system across social media, the website, email, events, presentations, and printed materials.

  • Turn briefs, product information, founder notes, and event moments into finished visual stories.

  • Design social posts, Stories, carousels, launch assets, event posters, and reusable templates.

  • Photograph and film tea, teaware, people, preparation, and gatherings with sensitivity to natural moments.

  • Edit short-form video, photography, and simple motion pieces for digital channels.

  • Prepare production-ready artwork for packaging, labels, signage, and other physical touchpoints.

  • Keep working files, templates, exports, and the visual asset library clear and organized.

  • Work with verified product information and practical event requirements from the wider team.

  • Protect brand consistency while improving the system when something can be clearer or stronger.

What good looks like after 90 days

A usable visual system

Core templates, rules, and working files make recurring content faster without making it generic.

A reliable content workflow

Briefs move from idea to review to final delivery with clear timing and organized assets.

Stronger product storytelling

Tea and teaware are presented consistently across product, social, email, and event touchpoints.

A recognizable point of view

Within feels considered and credible while remaining warm, human, and connected to real gatherings.

What we are looking for

  • A strong portfolio showing graphic design and visual storytelling, not only polished final images.

  • Confident typography, composition, color, image selection, and layout skills.

  • Working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent professional tools.

  • Ability to photograph or film and edit content for mobile-first channels.

  • Good written and spoken English, with clear communication and reliable follow-through.

  • Comfort moving between considered brand work and practical day-to-day production.

  • Independent judgement: you can ask the right questions, organize your work, and deliver without constant direction.

  • Respect for Chinese tea culture and willingness to learn without inventing claims or flattening the culture into an aesthetic.

Useful, not required

  • Based in Bali, or able to join regular shoots and events in Bali.

  • Experience with food, hospitality, culture, editorial, fashion, or community-led brands.

  • Packaging, print-production, illustration, animation, or art-direction experience.

  • Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin.

  • An existing relationship with tea or an active curiosity about it.
